Brian C. Klaus, President
Brian Klaus joined Surety as a sales and marketing representative in 1994. Over the last decade, he successfully worked to expand Surety’s revenue stream and presence in new markets. He has been vitally involved with the development and management of joint ventures and affiliated business relationships. His recent role has been expanded to include responsibility for our Sales and Marketing Department. Klaus has earned the respect and admiration of peers and customers alike and was welcomed as a partner in 2003.
Klaus continues to contribute to developing Surety’s long term growth strategy including expansion of products, services and establishing a platform for national business. He is vitally involved in, and his vision lends to, Surety’s growth as a regional leader in the settlement service industry.
Klaus graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Economics and has continued his management training by attending classes at Wharton’s prestigious Aresty Institute for Executive Education. He is actively involved in various charitable organizations including the Martin Luther King Jr. Daycare Centers and Haddonfield Youth sports.
John J. DeSantis, Jr.,
Executive Vice President of Finance
John DeSantis joined Surety Title in 1997 as the Controller and has become an integral part of our team. His background consists of 25 years experience in the area of financial management for the real estate industry. Prior to his tenure with Surety, he was employed for 11 years by Clover Financial Corporation where he handled the financial management and accounting functions for over 80 limited partnerships. His background also includes a key role in the new deals and acquisition area of the FDI Group, a leading real estate investment banker.
DeSantis plays a vital role in Surety’s financial operations. He has responsibility for the entire accounting department, asset management, investment banking and fiscal reporting which collectively impact a significant portion of our business. John also oversees our technology footprint as well as the financial aspects of a myriad number of affiliate operations
DeSantis is a graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
J.R. Quinn, Vice President of Sales and Marketing
J.R. Quinn’s extensive sales background, organizational skills, and networking experience bring real value to the Surety team.
Quinn’s clients are primarily Attorneys, Residential and Commercial Lenders, Residential and Commercial Realtors and Builders. Prior to joining Surety Title, Quinn spent 12 years selling property and casualty insurance to large companies on a regional and national level.
JR received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee where he was a three time All-American discus thrower. He lettered in both track and football for the volunteers.
David Rush, Chairman
David Rush has an accomplished 35 year record in sales and management in the title insurance industry. From 1974 through 1985, he co-owned and shared responsibility for the operation and performance of Congress Title Corporation. This company was recognized as the largest full-service title agency in the South Jersey area. The business was sold to a regional bank in 1985 and Rush was subsequently retained under a management contract until the later part of 1991.
Rush was the primary force in the formation of Surety Title Corporation which opened its doors in March 1992. Surety has grown from four to over 150 employees and has strong local roots in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Through its nine locations, the Company provides direct title services to the entire Northeastern part of the country. Surety has a strong reputation for exuding a professional image, strong integrity and maintaining a well trained and professional staff. Rush has a true entrepreneurial spirit. His approach to marketing and business has been innovative and he holds to a true service ethic.
Rush is a graduate of LaSalle University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He is involved with many charities and has served as a participant and as an officer on numerous trade organization committees.
